I love brokeback mountain the movie has a lot meaning to it I really like the late Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal they both were so great in the movie. The movie really touch my heart. its all about to cowboys that fell in love and they had there ups and downs.and they both had famlies that they loved. mountains in the movie were so beautiful you wish you were there. I think that Jake Gyllenhaal is very handsome and good actor so was the great Heath Ledger thats why brokeback mountain is my favorite movie of all time thank you.

I never watched a movie before where it was highly emotional. I Am not gay but I cartainly wish I had the love that jack and ennis had. I wished the story had turned out way different. I wish that they had their happy ending. I cried and cried to. heath and jake did a wonderful job. It must of took great amount of courage. they should of been able to live their lives together. I am sure a lot of people had to hide their gay life from society . ironically they accept a lot of stupid things but they dont accept love. I was a little scared or uneasy when I watched the movie but was soon very moved by the love and emotions. I read suzannes brockmanns book all through the night about two young gay men and she made it so real just two men going through everyday life like everybody else only their sexual preference are different. glad he made this movie. will be missed. in memory of heath.

I love brokeback mountain because the two actors in it were really great .Ilove jake gyllenhaal he was very good in the movie.heath ledger was also very good .setting of the movie was very beatiful.on the country side but alsoit was a true lovestory about two cowboys.who made a differace in there own lives.but never told each other that they love one other.they both had familes.and they had there ups and downs.but though the movie they were really brought back together.but the ending where jake died at the end it really bother me because i had thought they would be together forever.but it didnt happen but i was crying at the end because brokeback mountain is my all time favorite movie of all time i love jake gyllenhaal he his awesome

Is either of the 2 main characters ( Jack & Ennis ) real people? And if so, I sure would like to tell them how much I enjoyed the movie. I'm a straight housewife, but, I believe everyone should have the chance to love whomever they please, freely & without any B.S. because of it. The movie says that it is based on a true story. I would love to be an email friend to the one that still with us. It was the best movie I've seen in a long time. I really enjoyed it. We hear on earth are not to supposed to judge others, but, unfortunately a lot of us do. I am not one of them. When someone passes on, then he or she will be judged. I, myself do not do such things. I am catholic, but, I believe everyone should have the pleasure of loving someone & getting that love back by the person it is given to. I just hope they are real people & I can tell them how much I believe in them. Peace & Love To All, Amanda

It was a great film. I will never forget this. But is let us a big message in our earts. We have to understand to all kind of sexual prefferences. And Respect them, because we are living in a uncertain world... We don't know our future.

I first heard about "Brokeback Mountain" in a national mocking show in Greece called A.M.A.N. As many other people A.M.A.N. mocked the fact that two macho guys fall in love and have an affair. I was really young to judge so I didn't give so much attention. Three years later as I was searching for good rated movies I found out that "Brokeback Mountain" was a really successful film. I run to the videostore and rent it. I was a little afraid of what I would see but I watched the entire movie till the end. I don't know which part I liked the most. It was a great film. In my opinion is the greatest love story I ever watched. It's really touching and as I was watching it didn't feel so weird watching two guys kissing (congratulations to the actors for this). The period I rent "Brokeback Mountain" I also watched for the first time "Titanic", "Romeo and Juliet" and "Moulin Rouge", all of them movies for a tragic love story, but I admit that only "Brokeback Mountain" made me cry. Actually I couldn't stop crying. It's really moving when Jack and Ennis fight the last time they meet each other before Jack dies. Heath Ledger's excellent perfomance doesn't leave anyone untouched and not only there. I think even if you're the most narrow-minded person and hates this gay love story you will cry when you watch Ennis looking at Jack's shirt. It's an incredible film and it shows a gay relationship as it is supposed to be shown. No stupid guys who act like women, no men who flirt with other men in bars but two men, who are actual men, in love. I don't get tired watching "Brokeback Mountain" again and again and I don't stop crying for the tragic end which shows the cruelty of close-minded people and effect in people's lives. It is worth to watch this movie. Just trust me. Luiza, 15

At First...I really dont know what is a Brokeback Mountain all about till I watched a whole movie. I felt like emotion feeling and understood Ennis's feeling. In my opinin.....the weather cruel and harsh that Ennis shivered and nearly frozen .There is no choice to sleep in a tiny tent sharing with Jack who might like having affair with him or I think Jack feels stong bond with Ennis. I think it is not their fault due harsh weather or develop strong frienship with Ennis. I think it is amazing story i ever seen the movie.

Brokeback mountain was one of the best movies i have viewed in a long time. It was so realistic and different and the actors were just brillant. I have watched the movie about 4 times. I am so amazed at how great Heath ledger can act. The hold cast were just brillant. My tip of the hat to the writer and producer and especially the cast. It is one movie that will always be remembered. And Heath Ledger will greatly be missed. I enjoyed alot of his movies. God bless and thank you.

Well, the movie was on HBO, so I decieded to wait till no one was home, and no company was expected, in other words I was curious, but not brave enough to watch the movie with some one, nor did I want anyone to know I had watched such a digusting movie. The perfect time came last night, I closed the blinds, and turned off the phone. No one would ever guess , that me of all people would watch a movie like this .

By the end of the movie, I was calling my friends and saying 'Hey you gotta see this movie, its great'. I opened my blinds, kept the phone on, and called some more folks. Even called my daughter, she said Mom I have already seen the movie, and its a great movie. Oh now my husband would soon be home. I couldn't make my mind up to tell him about it or not. Well I had to, and guess what? he said lets watch it together tonight. So we will. I can't wait to see it again. After watching the movie, the impact of loosing the main character is even more sad.

Brokeback Mountain" originally struck me as a film that dealt with timeless issues such as those encountered in the Art forms of Opera and Symphony. Now the year 2007, I viewed the film again, and it appeared to me as even bigger and better than before. The truth is, "Brokeback Mountain" doesn't need an Academy Award. It stands perfectly well on its' own. As time progresses, the movie, rather than having been swept under the red carpet, now appears to be a monument to the lack of vision and understanding of the Academy.

Hallo dear reader,
I'm André from Germany. I hope, you can understand all what i wrote!

In november 1989, when the wall in germany was falling, the only and first gay movie of east germany was shown public in cinemas. It was calling "Coming out". I was looking this movie, and in this time i knew, i'm gay! In first time i feel that's terrible!.

But years later, i saw many movies with gay content, but the best gay movie i saw everey time ago is Brokeback Mountain. These feelings, what are feel are unbeleaveble!!!

In the last two years, we could see new gay movies in Germany like "Sommersturm" (Summerstorm)! I saw this movie and I thought the same in time looking "Brokeback Mountain" - two young man tried to find out the best reality/possibility for them....!

OK - I hope, you understand my bad english written words and look at german gay movies too?!

Brokeback Mountain is the best storry we have, which tells us, that the whoole mankind can learn, there are other people, who not only think, but they live in an other sex-direction.
After looking this movie for the 15. time, I have to cry, when he leaves the home of the parents and gos back to his shit life......!

I absolutly LOVED this movie!! I have never seen a movie that made me keep thinking about it days later.. I saw it a few days ago and i am still obsessing over it. The actor choice was incredible, and the music was right on the spot, and the writing of the actual story was without words.. The best movie i have seen in my life. thank you for making it!
Good luck on future movies I can't wait to see more

My only recourse is to boycott watching the Oscars this year. As a film junky, it's a sacrifice. But the people ignored and the honorees make no sense. Attention must be paid to the politics of Brokeback's snub.

I just saw the movie. I don't know why I got completely obsessed by it some weeks ago. I almost never rent a movie but for some reason, it felt like I wouldn't be able to go on with my life without having seen it. No idea why. So I rented it and now I have seen it and I keep on thinking about it. Can't get it off my mind, constantly thinking when I will be back to Brokeback mountain with Jack and Ennis. I couldn't cry while watching the movie but it came today, just thinking of all the whys that I have in my head. I need to see the movie again so their love can go on because, as long as the movie is played, their story is not over. I need to see them hold on each other again. I have no idea why the movie touched me so much as I am no homosexual but I can feel their pain and it hurts my body. I have been trying to understand why THAT story touches me so much...is it because I can't stand the fact that Ennis can't let go making them both so incredibly unhappy while keeping their love as new a first time? What is it? I have so many question that i bought the book hoping for some answers that I will have to figure out myself as Brokeback Mountain is a short story. How can they make a movie bigger than a book? That is not fair! I can't stand it but Ennis says I have to so I guess i will watch it again and again until I learn it. God I love this movie and my life will certainly never be the same the day i discover exactly why i do. Thank you so much for a beautiful story

i really enjoyed this film heath and jake are relly hot but it is really sad what happens at the end of the movie what they did to him was just wrong cuz they know if they were in love with a man and expressed his love with him that they wouldn't want anyone to kill their lover or them i bet that they were supposed to be really lonely i mean i know that didn't really happen to jake but for someone to kill someone because they love another man or woman, they should die the same way that they killed that special person if i was in a real life situiation like that i would have freaked out if someone touch someone that i love but if someone killed them i think i would end up hurting the people who killed them but thats just me it was a good movie i cried both tears of joy and sadness. tears of joy because they found each other and fell in love but i cried a river at the end because they killed a man who was in love it was so sad i mean i would have cried while i wrote it. it was deep and very passionate very beautiful i loved it

I've cried so many times when watching the movie... tears I couldn't hold back because of my own "Brokeback Mountain"...

Hopes and fears somtimes no one else can see... they touch the souls of those people, who also live in the darkness of their own, not accepted by the society...

Maybe this movie is a milestone for understanding...

I saw the film three times and I've cried a lot of tears. I'm so impressed and so full of emotions ... there are not enough words to explain it. This love story between Jack and Ennis touched my heart and I can't stop thinking about it.

I saw the film yesterday and thought about it all night and still today.
I am impressed by the really really great work you did.

The story is great and the film has touched me deepy like no other film in years. There is so much emotion betwenn the cowboys and at the same time much emotion between themselves and their wifes and children. The film shows so much respekt for both ways of live, the gay and non-gay.
Even though there are the conflicts between the cowboys and their families, I felt that the cowboys still did care so much for their wifes and kids.

I am just deeply touched and cannot find the right words to express my positive thoughts about the film. I just love it. Thank you to the filmmakers, the actors and everyone involved.

Brokeback Mountain is a sensational film! I love the film.
Its much more than just entertaining, its education and a good lesson for human beings. People can learn a lot from the film about respect and feelings.

I wish my mother could have seen it, she unfortunately died four years ago in the age of only 64 years.

Thank you to all of you,

Hi to all

Here in Germany the film started on 3/9/06.
For many years I neve saw such a great movie; I admit I did cry tears. That love that mustn't be one. Both are longing for their real love and can only have it for some few weeks in a year. Superb Pictures of great sourrounding and so fantastic music, exspecially that track called "wings" played on a guitar.

Well can someone explain me what ennis meant by the very last sentence of the movie (translated from german into english it is " I swear that, Jack")

Some scene was for me astonishing, that he heared fo Jacks death by a returned postcard. Normally in hollywood movie you would habe a great scene on eon´s death (remember Leo´s Death on "Titanic"). Here it was not dramatic but that made the drama. It was also shocking, that the guy´s last wish to spreat his ash all over brokeback mountain was not fulfilled.

Well i can just say it again:
Great movie... for me the best film of the last years.
I would love to get any reponse from any reader here exspecially concerning my question about the meanng of ennis last sentence in the film please write to

Thanks and take care

Wolf from Germany

I've seen Brokeback many times and each time i cry for these two men. Can't explain why, it's only a movie but it affected me like no other. The combination of the beautiful music, the scenery, the impeccable pairing of the two main characters and the magnificent story all combine to make it at once thrilling and tragic. There will be no other like it no matter how the others try. This is it, the most moving film I have every seen and I have seen a great many. So sorry that it didn't get the best movie of the year at the Academy Awards; it was truly deserved. I will continue to watch it for a long, long time and enjoy it like the first time every time that beautiful music begins and Ennis gets down from the truck.

Hi,
I saw the film yesterday and I find it one of the best films I have ever seen.
I am living together with my friend in a gay relationship since 25 Years and we never experienced any problems from friends, parents, neighbours. We shared a flat for 10 Years in a small village and we live in our on house in a small town for 15 Years. So far we never encountered any hostility.

We are happy that men an women before us had flattend the way as this movie does in his spcial way. It is with movies like this that poeple talk about and if they are a success, it helps even more.

I will see this movie a second time for sure.

magnifique!

Brilliant! Whoever leaves this movie without understanding how a man can fall in love with another man, hasn't understood a thing.

Not many movies touched me the way thisone did. I cried, 'cause i felt sorry for Jack and Ennis. How they were imprisoned by the moral of the society. How they weren't able to show their real feelings and to live the life they dreamed of.

And for Alma, who had to cope with the bitter truth of her husbands real feelings.

Michele, Jake & Heath - a big compliment to you all! You absolutely deserve an Oscar!

I haven't seen the movie yet. But I read the book and I just loved it....

My favourite part:

"During the day Ennis looked across a great gulf and sometimes Jack, a small dot moving acroos a high meadow as an insect moves across a table cloth; Jack in his dark camp saw Ennis as nightfire a red spark on the huge black mass of mountain."

"The shirt seemed heavy until he saw there was another shirt inside it, the sleeves carefully worked down inside Jack's sleeves. It was his own plaid shirt, lost, he'd thought, long ago in some damn laundry, his dirty shirt, the pocket ripped, buttons missing, stolen by Jack and hidden here inside Jack's own shirt, the pair like two skins, one inside the other, two in one."

One thing we should conaider that there are people like in Brokeback. And should we punish them caused that? Love...is one of honestly gift that GOD gives to us...even the love is different casual way. SO Ang Lee is so jenius to transform this idea on a film. Seeing this movie we will know how does love work and influence our live. So very poor if someone says this is a forbitten love....this is ONE of real love. 2 thumb for Ang Lee.

J'ai trouvé ce film merveilleux marvellous and i'm crying all the days. I saw it twice and i want to see it one more again. Sure !

I'm gay and i know what i'ts so difficult in 2006 to live a gay love story, even in France.
In some countries in the world, it's a crime.
Is it a crime to love another person, another human being ?
Oh my god !! I can't hear that ! It's to awful !!

Excuse me for my english and i'm so sensitive in that instant because this film hurt my heart, and the love story is a enormous love story.

I love you, every body, i love life and human beings !

This is a really good movie!! I was filled with so many mixed emotions at the end of the movie. I believe it was because I didn't really know how quite to feel about it. I was confused on the ending, I really didn't get it. There was so much intensity throughout the film. Overall, this was a really good film.
